Oscar-nominated Jojo Rabbit movie costumes on display...

Taika Waititi's Oscar-nominated World War II satire Jojo Rabbit is based on Christine Leunen's 2004 Hitler Youth novel Caging Skies. In the 2019 film set during the latter stages of WWII in Nazi Germany, Roman Griffin Davis plays 10-year-old 'Johannes "Jojo" Betzler', a Hitler Youth member with an imaginary friend in the form of a buffoonish Adolf Hitler. He must question his beliefs when he discovers his mother 'Rosie' (Scarlett Johansson) is hiding a teenage Jewish girl named 'Elsa Korr' (Thomasin Mckenzie) in their attic. Sam Rockwell plays 'Captain Martin Klensendorf', the German army office running the Hitler Youth training camp Jojo attends. Mayes C. Rubeo's film wardrobe is nominated for Best Costume Design at the 92nd Academy Awards.

Martin Scorsese's latest Oscar-nominated film is based on the 2004 book by Charles Brandt, I Heard You Paint Houses: Frank "The Irishman" Sheeran and Closing the Case on Jimmy Hoffa. The movie follows Robert De Niro's 'Frank Sheeran', a truck driver who becomes a hitman for Joe Pesci's mobster 'Russell Bufalino' and his Northeastern Pennsylvania crime family. He soon meets union leader 'Jimmy Hoffa' (Al Pacino) and another rising Teamster 'Anthony "Tony Pro" Provenzano', but over time relationships sour among the crime families and Sheeran soon has to put his skills at "painting houses" to use. The Best Picture nominee has garnered ten Oscar nominations, and is also nominated for Best Costume Design by Sandy Powell and Christopher Peterson.

In Greta Gerwig's 2019 big screen adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's beloved 1868 novel, Little Women, Saoirse Ronan plays 'Jo March' in the coming-of-age period drama. Set in New England in the 1860s in the aftermath of America's Civil War, the film follows Jo and her three sisters, the eldest 'Meg' (Emma Watson), the second youngest 'Beth' (Eliza Scanlen) and youngest sibling 'Amy' (Florence Pugh) as they grow up, their loves, their illnesses, their career and life aspirations. Laura Dern plays their mother 'Marmee March', looking after her family, their home and poorer neighbours whilst her husband and their father has been away fighting in the Union Army. The Best Picture nominee is nominated for six Academy Awards, including for Jacqueline Durran for Best Costume Design.
